Nine people including women and children were killed after a warehouse roof collapsed in a market in Sukkur on Wednesday, Express News reported.

House owner arrested in roof collapse case

Rescue services reached the scene to help the victims trapped under the rubble.

Sources said that so far nine people have been reported dead in the wake of the incident.

The victims include three women and a child with rescue operation still underway to help those still trapped under the rubble.

Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair expressed his condolences over the loss of lives and called for Deputy Commissioner of Sukkur to submit a report in this regard.

Moreover, Zubair gave directives to authorities to ensure proper treatment for those injured in the incident.
