HYDERABAD: A dust storm of 34 knots per hour velocity cut off the electric supply to many areas for several hours on Tuesday. At least nine feeders of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) tripped as the wind pressure tilted electric poles and brought high transmission lines to the ground. Two fuel stations were closed when electric poles fell to the ground.
