Shahid Kapoor's younger brother Ishaan Khatter, who will make his much-awaited acting debut in Beyond The Clouds this year, had to lose eight kgs for the role, reported New Indian Express.

A spokesperson for Iranian film-maker Majid Majidi revealed, "Ishaan had 12 days to shed eight kgs. He took that piece of input from his mentor and director, and literally just went to town with his mission to be a lean mean machine for Beyond The Clouds."

He added, "Ishaan changed his entire workout regime. His focus was largely on sprints and cycling - a strict and disciplined regime to ensure he made it happen."

Ishaan is one of the most awaited debutantes within Bollywood. He has also been given the award for India's 'Emerging Account' for a notable increase in the number of followers on his Instagram in 2017.

Beyond The Clouds is the story of hope and failure, humanity and compassion, a silent majority skirting the poverty line.

First look of Janhvi Kapoor's Bollywood debut is here

The film begins with the story of young Amir (Ishaan) who survives his poverty by being a drug mule. His sister, Tara (Malavika Mohanan) works in a laundry depot and has survived a violent marriage to an abusive and alcoholic husband.

Majidi has created a world where you find magic, love and kindness in the darkest of places. There’s humour versus tragedy, empathy versus apathy and kindness versus violence.

Produced by Zee Studios and Namah Pictures, Beyond the Clouds is slated for release worldwide on April 20, 2018.
