The existing deficiency in the health care system need to be addressed as most of the locally produced drugs are at present not being subjected to Bioequivalence examination, denying information about the impact of such drugs on users.
The lab would be established with a futuristic approach in the terms of capacity and capability in view of the continuous scientific progress in the field. Besides providing quality medicines to the public at affordable price, the Lab would help in promotion of drug exports adding to foreign exchange earnings.
The five subcommittees set up for the purpose would examine and formulate the recommendations in their respective areas.
