Afridi may miss Islamabad playoff
Karachi Kings’ veteran all-rounder has been complaining of pain ahead of final decider
Confusion continues to reign supreme about the chances of Karachi Kings’ leg-spinning all-rounder Shahid Afrdi playing in the first playoff against Islamabad United.
For their part, Karachi Kings insist that the veteran will feature in the key fixture. "There is nothing in the news that Afridi won’t be playing in the first playoff,” said a Karachi Kings official.
“He has been complaining about pain in his knee and has gone for an MRI today. The reports will come out on Sunday and then the coaches and physio will see if he can play. No decision has been taken on him till now. People are reporting that he is out of the PSL but we can’t say anything until the results come out.”
However, a source close to the matter has said that the star all-rounder may miss the match against Islamabad. “Afridi has pain in his knee and may not play the game against Islamabad,” he said.
