The matter is being heard at the Supreme Court (SC) since the CJP took suo motu notice of it. During the hearing on Friday, Justice Nisar observed that the court had directed the education secretary to personally visit the school and provide an alternative space and other facilities to the children, however, apparently no steps had been taken.
The top judge told Advocate-General (AG) Barrister Zamir Ghumro to inform the secretary to come prepared to answer the court's queries. The AG maintained that an alternative space was offered to the school but the non-governmental organisation that runs it also demanded two buses for the students.
