Pakistani DSP awarded 1st position in International Women Policing Conference

DSP Nasreen stood 1st among 300 women police officers from 13 countries

MULTAN: Lady Police Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Investigation Multan Shahida Nasreen secured first position at the 7th International Women Policing Conference held in Georgia.

As many as 300 female police officers from 13 countries participated in the international police course this year. DSP investigation Shahida Nasreen also won Medal of Valor.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan Mohammad Idrees Ahmad congratulated DSP Nasreen on achieving first position. He appreciated DSP Nasreen for presenting a true and positive image of Pakistani women at the international level. He said that women like DSP Nasreen are a source of pride for the nation and there is no dearth of such hardworking and dedicated women police officers in this region.

He further added that DSP Nasreen has uplifted the morale of not only of lady police officers of Multan region but of Punjab Police and the whole of Pakistan. He directed them to follow the footsteps of DSP Nasreen and present a true picture of Pakistan around the globe.

Civil society and Traders Association Multan presented a shield to the DSP for bringing good name to Pakistan. Advocate Shahbaz Gurmani appreciated the performance of DSP Nasreen. However, he said that there were many police officers who are eight to ten years junior than Nasreen and are promoted as Superintendent of Police (SP), but DSP Nasreen has not been promoted even after 40 years of services in the police.

He further said that all her training courses and tests were also completed. He demanded that DSP Nasreen should be promoted to Superintendent of Police (SP) because she deserve this on merit.
