FAISALABAD:

A Forest guard was allegedly kidnapped and axed to death over a dispute related to illegal tree cutting.

According to police sources, the victim Muhammad Akram, a resident of Chak No.649-GB and father of three children, had reportedly stopped the accused including Shabbir and his accomplices, from cutting trees in the forest area.

The victim's brother, Irshad, alleged that the accused bore a grudge against Akram for preventing them from felling trees. The police said that the accused allegedly abducted Akram and later butchered him to death with an axe.
