‘Doing Business Plan’ to implement reforms and improve the country’s ease of doing business ranking

Board of Investment (BoI) Secretary Samaira Nazir Siddiqui has said that the BoI, in consultation with relevant stakeholders, has launched an accelerated ‘Doing Business Plan’ to implement reforms and improve the country’s ease of doing business ranking. Speaking at the three-day Capital Investment Summit and Expo 2018, which was organised by Pakistan Guarantee Export Corporation, she said Pakistan had a robust economy and could offer a lot to business in terms of trade and investment. Siddiqui highlighted that the Pakistani capital market had been continuously exhibiting exemplary performance over the last few years. “The recent upgrade of Pakistan from the frontier market to an emerging market by Morgan Stanley Capital International is evidence of the turnaround.
