Sublime Watson helps Quetta humble Karachi

All-rounder scores unbeaten 90 in Gladiators' 67-run win on Thursday

Shane Watson played an inspiration role as Quetta Gladiators beat Karachi Kings by 67 runs in the 19th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Dubai on Thursday.

After being put into bat first, Gladiators post 180 for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

The star of the show for Sarfraz Ahmed's men was opener Watson, who scored an unbeaten 90 off 58 with the help of five fours and seven sixes.

He was well-supported by veteran middle-order batsman Kevin Pietersen, who scored 52 off 34 with the help of seven fours and one six.

In reply, Kings never get going and only managed to score just 118 for the loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs.

Captain Imad Wasim finished the innings with the top score of 35 off 31, whereas Babar Azam scored run-a-ball 32.

For Gladiators, pacers Rahat Ali and Anwar Ali claimed two wickets each.
