KARACHI: A spokesperson for the chief minister has issued a clarification on the news item about the schedule of summer vacations.

The steering committee of the Sindh education department suggested in a meeting that summer vacations in Sindh should be scheduled for July and August, instead of June and July.

The government has yet to take a final decision on this, he said.

The education department will hold a meeting with the private schools and other stakeholders on June 11 and then decide.

Meanwhile, Syed Khalid Shah of the All Private Schools Management Association welcomed the new schedule for summer vacations.
