Rawalpindi girl dies after jumping from fifth-story flat as man opens fire

Apartment owner became infuriated after finding unexpected visitors allegedly gathered for partying

A girl died in Rawalpindi while another was injured on Saturday after a man opened fire after suspecting presence of suspicious persons partying at his house.

The incident took place in Bahria Town in the jurisdiction of Airport police station, Express News reported.

Nadir Khan, who had rented out his flat, reached the house after receiving information of presence of unexpected men and women there and subsequently opened fire.

Those present at the alleged party panicked and jumped from the balcony of the five-storey flat. While the men managed to runaway from the scene, one of the girls who had jumped succumbed to injuries at the hospital while the other is under treatment.

Police say they have began an investigation and searching for the men who ran away. They have also sought the man whom the flat had been rented out to.
