Multan Sultans thrashed Quetta Gladiators by nine wickets in the 13th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) third edition in Sharjah on Saturday.

After winning the toss, Sultans opted to bowl first, a decision which proved a correct one as Sarfraz Ahmed-led unit were bowled out for just 102 in the 16th over.

Gladiators lost last five wickets for just a run in space of seven deliveries.

The star of the show for Sultans were pacer Sohail Tanvir and leg-spinner Imran Tahir, who claimed three wickets each.

Tahir also became the first spinner in the history of PSL to claim a hat-trick by claiming wickets of Hasan Khan, John Hastings and Rahat Ali on successive deliveries.

In reply, Sultans chase down the target in the 17th over at the expense of just one wicket.

Opener Kumar Sangakkara had another impressive outing, as he remained not out on 51 off 44 balls with the help of five fours and one six.
