The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has become the buzz of the town lately as players utilise their off-day in a very dramatic yet fun manner.
Apparently, they all freshen up and enjoy listening to Bollywood hit-songs in a Dubai reception. During an evening party, many people were impressed when the cricketers performed their skill of singing.
Everybody was stunned how good a singer Sarfraz Ahmed, Pakistan and Quetta Gladiators captain, is as he confidently sang the popular songs of the legendary singer Mohammad Rafi.
Anis Sajan, managing director of Danube, usually hosts a party to welcome international cricketers whenever they are in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as he called the PSL players to his villa in Emirates Hills.
All cricketers participated during a karoke session where they displayed their talent of singing.
Since it was a private event, none of the players wanted to share their singing videos on social media. Sarfraz sang Mohammad Rafi’s famous song Kya Hua Tera Vada, which turned out to be so spectacular that everyone gave him a standing ovation.
Top-order batsman Asad Shafiq sang Atif Aslam’s popular song Tera Hone Laga Hoon, while South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir surprised everyone by singing Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s Tere Mast Mast Dou Nain, from mega-star Salman Khan’s Dabang.
Legendary right-handed batsmen Zaheer Abbas, who also graced the gathering, said: “I am so happy to see the boys showcase their other talents besides cricket. This makes an evening special.”
Bowling pacers Sohail Tanvir and Wahab Riaz, with a new dropping moustache look, mixed freely with ev eryone.
Mohammad Nawaz, fresh from his most economical spell in PSL history for Quetta Gladiators signed autographs and posed for selfies while Shan Masood, Hasan Ali, Anwar Ali and Umar Amin did the same.
