A newly-married man and his grandmother were killed when a wedding gift they were opening exploded in India.
The wife also suffered severe injuries in the blast on Friday, police said. The incident occurred just five days after the couple’s wedding in Odisha’s Bolangir district.

Patnagarh Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sesadeva Bariha said the police have collected evidence and an investigation was underway.
The victim, identified as Sehu, and his grandmother, Jemamani Sahu, succumbed to their wounds at a local hospital. His wife was said to be in a critical condition.
