AJK postings: Reshuffle in police, Ehtesab Bureau

Most transfers as per schedule, charges to be taken soon.

MIRPUR:

Seasoned AJK police officer Tahir Qureshi has taken charge as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Mirpur, it was officially learnt.

He has replaced Dr Liaqat Hussain Chaudhry, who has been transferred and posted as DIG Police Muzaffarabad.

Similarly, Ghulam Akber has taken charge as Senior Superintendent Police (SSP), Mirpur, replacing Sardar Gulfraz Khan, who has been transferred and posted as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Police (Investigation), Muzaffarabad, official sources said on Friday.

Tahir Qureshi and Ghulam Akber were earlier performing duties in the same positions in Muzaffarabad, the sources added.

Superintendent Police (SP) Raja Nassarullah Khan has been posted as Director Investigation (DI) in AJK Accountability Bureau (AB).

He replaces Raja Muhammad Feroze Khan, Superintendent Police (Retired), who has been removed from service by the Chairman AJK Ehtesab Bureau Justice (Retd) Raja Saeed Akram Khan, says a press release issued by the AJK Accountability Bureau here late Friday.

SP Raja Nassarullah Khan had performed the duties as AJK AB Director Complaints in the past.
