Call for keeping Quetta clean

DC says it is difficult to maintain cleanliness without public support

Quetta Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Farukkh Atiq said on Monday it was inevitable to conduct a regular awareness campaign among citizens to improve cleanliness situation in provincial capital.

He said that without public support and cooperation, it is difficult to maintain cleanliness in the city on a regular basis.


He expressed these views while talking to media-persons in his office.

The district administration on public complaints will soon start cleanliness campaign in Hazar Ganji and Hana Horak areas, for provision of clean and hygienic atmosphere to tourists.

He said that civil society, local body representatives and media are important stakeholders for the promotion of cleanliness campaigns and have to play an active role in this regard.
