CM said government will set up ten girls’ schools in Diamer to encourage female literacy

ISLAMABAD:
Chief Minister (CM) Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman has said the GB government with the financial support of federal government was working on making improvements in different sectors including power and road infrastructure.

Besides construction of roads, the GB government was spending a huge amount on health, education, tourism and power sectors.


“More than a 100 hotels were being constructed to boost tourism in this beautiful part of the region,” he said. The GB government is also taking steps to encourage education. The Chief Minister said establishment of Karakorum International University (KIU) campus and Chilas Cadet College in Diamer will pave way for promotion of education in the region.

He said the government will set up ten girls’ schools in Diamer to encourage female literacy.
