PHP arrest 114 culprits, 53 proclaimed offenders

Punjab Highway Patrol formed several teams to combat crimes

LAHORE: Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) claimed to have arrested 114 culprits including 53 proclaimed offenders, recovered illegal arms, 453 litres of alcohol, 5.25 kilogrammes of hashis, arrested a culprit, recovered a stolen motorcycle and rendered help to 1,640 commuters during the last week.

A PHP Post 92/9/L conducted a picket after information about suspect Naseer. They arrested him and recovered a stolen motorcycle from his custody. Another PHP team arrested 53 proclaimed offenders and five court absconder identified as Zohaib, Nazeer Ahmad, Aurang Zaib, Nawaz, Hayat, Pervaiz, Moazam Ali, M Boota, Nadeem, Ghulam Raza, Ijaz, Nazeer, Irfan, M Awais, M Ghaffar, Ghulam Mustafa, Zaffar Ullah, Ghulam Sarwar, M Ismael, Zawar, Ajab Khan, Syed Ghulam, Fazal, Shoaib, Javaid, Ansar, Ameer, Zaffar Iqbal, Nazeer.

Similarly, PHP teams also arrested 34 suspects identified as Jahangir, Akhtar, Ghulam Shabir, Abdul Rehman, Nasarullah, Musawar Khan, Tanveer, Imran, Mahar Ali, Saeed, Ghulam Nabi, Adil, Rasheed, M Yar, Waqas, Salim, Yaseen, Akram, Ashraf and recovered 453 litres of liquor, 5.25 kilogrammes of hashish from their possession.
