ISLAMABAD:
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB)on Wednesday filed a couple of supplementary references in the Flagship Investments and Azizia & Hill Metal Establishment cases against the Sharif family.

The references were filed after obtaining approval from NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal.

The July 28 judgment of the Supreme Court in the Panamagate case provides that NAB could file a supplementary reference(s) “if and when any other asset, which is not prima facie reasonably accounted for, is discovered”.

NAB has now claimed that during the course of investigations the bureau has “collected some fresh evidences” related to these two cases.

People are fighting my case: Nawaz Sharif

Nawaz Sharif and others have been facing three different corruption references against them. In January, a supplementary reference was filed against Sharif and four others in the Avenfield properties case.

According to a NAB official, the bureau has obtained the transcript of interview of Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz with a private television channel and that transcript would be made part of the supplementary reference.

While a NAB source claimed that details of some other companies owned by Nawaz Sharif’s sons and unearthed recently would also be made part of these references.
