KARACHI: The Export Processing Zones Authority has registered a growth of 39 per cent in exports during 10 months of the current financial year. Exports worth $447.05 million were made from July 2010 to April 2011 compared with exports of $320.6 million in the corresponding period last year, according to a press release. The significant growth in exports reflects the confidence of investors in EPZA and its policies, the statement said. The growth also contributed to creating employment opportunities, revenue generation for the government and increased investment by investors in the zone.
