PM house hosts reception for Jordan's King Abdullah-II

Bilateral, regional and international matters of mutual interest will be discussed

A formal reception to honour King Abdullah-II of Jordan was held at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad on Thursday, Radio Pakistan reported.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi welcomed the Jordanian King and other dignitaries at the reception where a contingent of Pakistan armed forces presented the guard of honour to King Abdullah-II followed by a JF-17 Thunder formation salute.

Earlier, King Abdullah-II of Jordan arrived in Islamabad on a two-day visit to Pakistan. The Jordanian king, accompanied by foreign minister, civil and military officials, was received by President Mamnoon Hussain at Noor Khan Airbase. He was given a 21-gun salute.

During the visit, the visiting king will hold meetings over bilateral, regional and international matters of mutual interest. It will provide the two countries with an opportunity to explore ways and means to further strengthen cooperation in diverse areas, particularly to expand bilateral trade and enhance investments in Pakistan.
