Sector I-12 roads nearing completion

'Former PM Nawaz had ordered construction of roads in the commercial area of I-12 which are nearing completion'

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Housing and Works has completed about 70-80 per cent roads of commercial areas of Sector I-12. “Former PM Nawaz Sharif had ordered construction of roads in the commercial area of I-12 which are nearing completion,” an official of the ministry told the media. He said that land has been acquired for the development of D-13 and development work will be started soon. He said that the sectors were started in 1996 but unfortunately development work was not initiated by the previous government while the present government has initiated the development work of these sectors. To another query he said the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) is in the process of acquiring more land in Bhara Kahu to accommodate its remaining members. He said the additional plots will be made available after the completion of the process.
