Huawei launched its latest smartphone in a quest to dominate the mid-range smartphone segment in the country.

“The HUAWEI P smart is the perfect smartphone for young people who seek to have a vibrant and trendy lifestyle,” according to a press release.

Equipped to run on EMUI 8.0, the phone has a 13 megapixel and 2-megapixel dual camera along with an 8-megapixel front camera, 5.65 full-HD display, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.


The camera has placed a greater emphasis on low light photography much like Huawei's flagship mate series.

The camera goes further into being able to recognise human faces with great accuracy and “differentiate between male and female genders.”

In terms of battery, the device powers a 3,000 mAh battery.

The device will be available in black and blue colours from February 6 and is priced at Rs 25,999.
