Rich tributes were paid to former Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) president and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) commander-in-chief Air Marshal (retd) Asghar Khan at a condolence reference held at PIA Training Centre. PIA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Musharraf Rasool Cyan, Royal Aeronautical Society Pakistan Division President Air Marshal (retd) Saleem Arshad, son of the late air chief Ali Asghar Khan and a large number of PIA employees attended the ceremony. The PIA CEO said the late Air Marshal (retd) Khan was among the founding fathers of the PIA and PAF. He was an icon not only for his generation but for all generations to come, Cyan said. Earlier, the son of the late air chief said he was overwhelmed by the affection which people had for his father. "The gathering of people to pay homage to him is a proof of his sincerity and dedication for the country," he said.
