CCTV footage shows unidentified armed men shooting down the victim in broad daylight
PESHAWAR:
A caretaker of an Imambargah was shot dead by unidentified armed men in an apparent incident of sectarian targeted killing in Dera Ismail Khan on Friday.
According to a CCTV footage of the harrowing incident, obtained by The Express Tribune, one of the armed men who were riding two motorcycles, opened fire on the victim, identified as Matiullah, in broad daylight.
The attacker with a suspected 9MM pistol can be seen opening fire on Matiullah at least twice, leading to his death instantly.
According to sources, a former councilor Taimur Baloch was earlier shot dead by the same attackers in Dera Ismail Khan.
