14th convocation to be held today

LAHORE: The 14th convocation of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), Lahore will be held in the University Auditorium today. Chancellor and Punjab Governor Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana will be the chief guest. Around 4,000 students who have passed BS ,B Ed, BFA, B Com, BBA, BPA, BE, Pharm D, MA, MSc, MS/ M Phil and  PhD will receive their degrees, rolls of honour and gold medals. Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Tahira Aziz Mughal said that as per the instruction of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Uzma Qureshi, opening day of the convocation was allocated for the students belonging to the faculties of natural sciences, management/administrative sciences, engineering & technology and Institute of Pharmacy. The second day was reserved for the students of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Institute of Education, Institute of Languages and Culture, Institute of Visual Arts and Design. PhD students will join the event on both days. She added that a number of roll of honour have been allocated for co-curricular achievements whereas special medals will also be distributed.
