Karate training camp opens today

Children from the schools of twin cities will participate in the training session

The fourth Japan Karate Association’s (JKA) “National Karate Training Camp” will be held under the auspices of JKA, Pakistan, on January 24 and 25, 2018, at the Liaquat Gymnasium, Pakistan Sports Complex, Aabpara.  The Grand Master Shiina Katsutoshi (seven Dan), head of JKA Japan headquarters, world karate champion, will impart extensive training to Pakistani karatekas In the camp, the JKAP will also arrange a self-defense training demonstration, aimed at educating young children as to how to protect themselves from aggression and assault.

Growing threats to the security of young children, particularly girls, in the age bracket of 5 to 12 years has made it critically important that kids be trained in the art of self-defense. Children from the schools of twin cities will participate in the training session.

Tariq Ahmad, Country Representative, JKA Pakistan, informed that this is an open event, and invited the general public, particularly parents and school administrators to send their children to learn from a Japanese Grandmaster.

Moreover, karate is going to be part of the upcoming Olympics 2020 in Tokyo, training imparted by a Japanese grandmaster shall prove to be very beneficial for Pakistani karatekas.
