Burns, trauma center: USAID to provide Rs647m for facility

USAID will provide Rs647 million for completing construction work

USAID will provide Rs647 million for completing construction work on a burns and trauma centre in Peshawar. The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) inked an agreement in this regard on Thursday.

According to a statement issued by the PDMA, the USAID will provide the funds required for completing civil works for the operation of the centre.

The work identified by the agreement includes the installation of a 630 KVA electricity transformer, a central air-conditioning system, two backup power generators of 1,250 KV, a tube well, a medical gas system, a boundary wall, gas pipelines and transmission line for electricity directly from grid station.

The statement adds that the funds would be provided as per the already agreed terms and modalities between the USAID and the K-P government.
