PESHAWAR:
The Difa-e-Pakistan Council and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) chief Maulana Samiul Haq have expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa for Islamisation in the province.

“The past governments could not bring any change as they had no intention to do so, while we are satisfied with the steps taken by the government of PTI which is why we have formed an alliance with them for the upcoming general elections,” Sami said while addressing a press conference at the Chief Minister House on Sunday. He was flanked by K-P Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad.

“PTI is serving Islam and the country,” said Sami, adding that the PTI government laid a good foundation in serving Islam and JUI-S harmonises with PTI.
