Dense fog engulfs cities in Punjab
Motorway police have appealed the drivers to use precautionary measures while driving

Various areas in Punjab have been enveloped by a thick cloud of fog in the past few days, suspending traffic on various roads, including motorways, due to low visibility. The fog also increased the intensity of cold weather.

The dense fog blanketed different areas of Punjab, including Sargodha, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Pindi Bhattain, Okara, and adjoining areas and other cities disrupting the flow of traffic.
A Met official said dense fog blanketed various districts of Punjab due to which the traffic flow on the motorway was disrupted badly. Due to low visibility, different sections of the motorway were completely closed.
The motorway police have appealed the drivers to use precautionary measures while driving. They also advised motorists to switch on fog lights and also requested people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling.

Meanwhile, the Met office predicted that foggy conditions would continue to prevail in the plains of Punjab for the next few days.
