Homicide: In-laws blamed for newborn son’s death

The police said that a man named Ramzan Mahar came to the police station with his three-day-old son’s body.

The Ghotki police apprehended two men and a woman on charges of strangling a newborn in Gul Mahar village in Adilpur police limits.

The police said that a man named Ramzan Mahar came to the police station on Thursday night with his three-day-old son’s body.

The postmortem proved that the boy was strangled. Mahar and said that his wife Naseema gave birth on April 25 and the boy was healthy.

She then went to her parent’s house after the couple had an argument.


The next day Mahar found out that his son was dead.

Mahar claimed that his in-laws had tried to bury the body without telling him and that the whole incident was part of a conspiracy to distance him from his wife.

The couple has three daughters and a son.
