Upgradation: 452km high tension lines laid

Mepco officials said it was the top priority of the power utility to provide new connections and electricity

MULTAN: The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) installed 452-kilometre high-tension lines for upgrading of the system and providing uninterrupted electricity during the current fiscal year 2017-18.

Mepco officials said it was the top priority of the power utility to provide new connections and electricity with best voltage to consumers.

The administration had installed 452-kilometre high-tension lines for the system upgrade and total length of the high-tension line reached 73,351-kilometre in the region. The Mepco administration had also installed 216-kilometre low-tension line during the current fiscal year and total length of low-tension lines reached 47,940 kilometres.

Mepco officials said that from July 2017 to November 2017, 37-kilometre high-tension and 38-kilometre low-tension lines were laid in Multan circle, 33-kilometre high-tension and 16-kilometre low-tension lines in Dera Ghazi Khan circle, 47-kilometre high-tension and 32-kilometre low-tension lines in Vehari, 67-kilometre high-tension and 63-kilometre low-tension lines in Bahawalpur etc.
