Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders said on Wednesday that economic development is the best weapon to ensure peace. “The situation has improved in FATA and now the government should focus on improving the social sector and exploit mineral resources of the area,” Chamber Patron Shahid Rasheed Butt said. “North and South Waziristan agencies are full of natural resources which would be enough to change the fate of the country,” Butt added. He said that the resources of FATA should be tapped without any delay so that the local population could get jobs which would improve the image of the country. He said that the region should be brought into the national mainstream as soon as possible.
