Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) has terminated two employees from service with immediate effect over absenteeism.
Human Resource & Admin Director General Muhammad Naeemullah announced the decision under Pakistan Industrial and Commercial Employment Ordinance 1968.
Electricity, gas distribution companies to establish complaint centres
Data entry operator Muhammad Amjad Anwar and operation circle driver Muhammad Nawaz had been absent from duty since March 14, 2016 and May 1, 2015, respectively.
Meanwhile, Multan Electric Power Company has started the facility of short messaging service (SMS) in 13 districts of South Punjab to provide electricity related information to consumers.
Govt producing surplus electricity: Leghari
Information System Additional Director General Nadeem Ahmed said that the information would be sent only on registered numbers. He said the ministry had also introduced mobile app “Roshan Pakistan” through which consumers could get all information related to their connections.
