“In the absence of dams and reservoirs, water from most of the flash floods flows into the Indian Ocean and we are unable to make use of it,” Zehri said while interacting with elders of his native village Anjera, where the dam and reservoir are being built.
Officials and engineers present at the site briefed the chief minister about the dam and its possible effect on agricultural products.

Balochistan power deal: PM appears reluctant to replace Malik with Zehri
“The government is committed to the welfare of the masses, which is evident from the fact that dozens of public welfare projects have been completed on time in the province,” said the chief minister. “The projects include schools and healthcare centres, as well as sports complexes and grounds.”
Zehri said, “The government is struggling hard to combat illiteracy and backwardness by expanding education availability.”
He said the government had constructed sports grounds and complexes across Balochistan to make the younger generation better athletes.
He said similar efforts were being made in the health and communication sectors.
About loadshedding, he said, “More emphasis is being laid on providing stable power supply to all the regions of the province.”
