Lok Virsa hosts Christmas event

At least a 1,000 people attended the event that featured Christmas tree and distribution of sweets by Santa Claus

The National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) in collaboration with Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), Pur Fazal Kaleiseya Pakistan (Full of Grace Church) and St Thomas Church celebrated Christmas in a big way here at Garden Avenue, Shakarparian.

At least a 1,000 people attended the event that featured Christmas tree, distribution of sweets by Santa Claus, live folk music and folk dance performances and a big Christmas cake.

Students of government schools presented national songs while church choirs of St Thomas and Pur Fazal Kaleiseya sang carols.

The icing on the cake was Pashto, Balochi and Sindh folk dances topped with a vibrant Punjabi bhangra.

Pastor Pervez Sohail of Pur Fazal Kalieseya appreciated the role of the present government in creating unity and solidarity in the nation.
