PESHAWAR:
The law and order situation in the province has improved considerably corresponding with a 67 per cent drop in target killing when compared to last year and a 50 per cent drop in overall militancy in the province. This was stated by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police (IGP) Salahuddin Mehsud while addressing the first anniversary of the City Patrolling Force at the Malik Saad Police Lines on Thursday. He, however, acknowledged that security threats persist in the province but they were also on high alert to respond to any untoward situation. Mehsud further said that the strength of the city patrol force would be doubled.
