Cargo train restored after seven years

Cargo train is expected to bring Rs2 million income to Pakistan Railways

MULTAN: After a lapse of seven years, Pakistan Railways (PR) has launched a cargo train recently. It will operate between Faisalabad and Karachi on a daily basis. The train will run at 11pm from Faisalabad via Shorkot, Khanewal, Multan, Samma Satta, Khanpur, Tando Adam and Rohri and reaches Karachi at 3am the next morning.

According to an estimate, consist of nine wagons, the cargo train is expected to bring Rs2 million income to the Pakistan Railways. Two railway officials from headquarter are supervising the operations.
