LAHORE:
Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the government has formed a constitutional institution of Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) to resolve the problems of expatriates as they were the real ambassadors of the country.
He said that the institution was performing its duty by protecting the hard-earned income of overseas Pakistanis, guaranteeing the protection of their property and playing an effective role to resolve their problems.
He said that these overseas Pakistanis had been given their due rights and thousands had benefitted from this commission.
Expats suffer long delays over verification, certification
The chief minister expressed these views while talking to a delegation of overseas Pakistanis in London on Saturday. He said that their properties and lands cannot be grabbed illegally after the formation of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab.
He said that the commission had set great examples of teamwork and had served these overseas Pakistanis by ignoring the barriers of fear and lust.
He said that expatriate Pakistanis have proved their talent in various fields of life including education, games, technology and the country will progress when we will work together with determination and coordination.
