Instead, SNGPL General Manager Arbab Saqib explained that the decrease in pressure reported from the province was due to operational and technical reasons.
Talking to the media, he said that consumption of gas had increased since winter set in. Saqib added that SNGPL workers have been shifting pipelines after 10pm owing to ongoing work on the BRT project — precautions are taken for this operation, he said, had contributed to lower gas pressure.
He warned consumers against using compressers for increasing gas pressure that was not only dangerous but could also result in suspension of gas supply in adjoining areas.
