Two jailed for life in murder cases

Court imposed fine of Rs0.4 million on convict

Additional District and Sessions Judge Alzafar Sultan Abrar awarded life sentence to two accused in different murder cases in Faisalabad.

The prosecution told the court that accused Mazhar alias Boota and his accomplice Asghar Ali had shot dead a shopkeeper Muhammad Naseer of Khurianwala Chowk for putting up resistance during a robbery bid in 2013.

Later, the police arrested them and submitted a challan in the court. After hearing witnesses, the judge awarded life imprisonment to Mazhar.

In addition, the court imposed a fine of Rs0.4 million on the convict which would be paid to the legal heirs of the deceased. The judge awarded 10 years jail term to Asghar and imposed a fine of Rs50,000 on him.

In another case, Additional District and Sessions Judge Shakeel Ahmed Sipra awarded life sentence to Kashif alias Kashi for killing his rival Naeem, a resident of Chak No 117-JB Dhanola.
