Three FESCO officials suspended

Departmental action would be taken against officials

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Chief Operating Officer Nizamuddin Marwat has suspended three officers on charges of negligence.

The FESCO spokesperson said that the suspended officers included Malik Shafiq Ahmad, Waqar Ahmad and Falak Sher. The official added that departmental action would be taken against the said officials.

Meanwhile, the police claimed to have arrested 23 criminals, including 20 proclaimed offenders from Faisalabad District.

A police official said the police also seizeded two pistols, 1.74 kilogrammes of hashish and 126 litres of liquor from them. Further investigation was underway.

In a crackdown against profiteering and overcharging, Price Control Magistrate Riaz Hussain Anjum imposed a fine on 13 shopkeepers.
