PML-N workers oppose inclusion of Javaid Hashmi in party

Say he would not be accepted by party members at any cost

MULTAN: Representatives and workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have strongly opposed the inclusion of Javaid Hashmi into the party. More than 20 chairmen and UC ticket holders attended a session organised at the constituency of Javaid Hashmi in NA-149.

The participants expressed reservations over Javaid Hashmi’s rejoining of the party. The candidates also passed a resolution against the inclusion in the meeting. The participants also raised slogans of ‘Javaid Hashmi Na Manzoor’ (Javaid Hashmi not acceptable).

While addressing the participants of the meeting, former MNA Sheikh Tariq Rasheed said that Javaid Hashmi would not be accepted by party members at any cost. He said that Hashmi only believes in the politics of media and press. “He is not interested in public politics,” he added.

Haji Ehsaanuddin Qureshi said that party leadership should take a wise decision in this regard. He said that PML-N leadership should avoid imposing Javaid Hashmi on elected representatives. He said that Hashmi would not be allowed to contest elections from NA-149.



Malik Anwar Ali, ticket holder from PP-194, said that Javaid Hashmi does not deserve a seat. “Only those people should be allowed to contest election from NA-149 who served the masses for five years day and night,” he pointed out.

The participants said that they would not accept any hypocrite and traitor in the party. All the UC chairman and ticket holders said that if Javaid Hashmi would be elected from NA-149, they would completely boycott the election campaign.

On the other hand, PML-N has announced the names of central executive committee. The 109 member committee included five people from South Punjab namely Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana, MPA Rana Mahmoodul Hassan, Federal Minister Mian Baleeghur Rahman, Arshad Khan Leghari from Rahim Yar Khan and Irfan Daha from Khanewal.
