A walk was also organised to create awareness among people about drug addiction and its adverse effects on individuals and society. Faculty of Veterinary Science Dean Prof Dr Masood Rabbani led the walk while UVAS Senior Tutor Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf and a number of students and faculty members participated.
Drug pusher gets four-year jail term
Senior Vice President Dr Imran Sajjad from Foundation for Young Researchers delivered a lecture on physiology of drug addiction, Phoenix Research Organisation Chairman Dr Noor Zaman on treatment, Remington Pharmaceuticals Cooperate Liaison Manager Farrukh Attah Shiekh on pharmacists role in addiction therapy and Foundation for Young Researchers Chairman Dr Irfan Bashir delivered a lecture on special considerations when involving families in drug addiction treatment etc.
Later, VC Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha chaired the concluding session of the workshops and distributed certificates and shields among the participants and guest speakers.
