Four migrants were killed and another four were injured in a police chase near the northern Greek city of Kavala, officials said Tuesday.
Police in the city of Thessaloniki, also in the north, said a car driven by a 35-year-old Pakistani, an alleged smuggler who was also hurt, fell into a ravine as he tried to evade pursuit on Monday.

Of the nine men in the car, four were killed and the rest were hospitalised in Kavala, one of them in critical condition.
Police declined to reveal the nationality of the migrants in the car.
