SARGODHA: Additional District and Sessions Judge Tariq Mehmood Shah awarded life sentence to a man in a murder case in Sargodha.

The prosecution told the court that accused Shahid Imran and his accomplices Maqsoodan Bibi and Khizar Hayat, had murdered Qamar Bibi on December 3, 2013. However, the police arrested them and submitted a challan in the court.

After hearing witnesses, the judge awarded life imprisonment to Shahid. In addition, the court imposed a fine of Rs0.1 million on the convict. However, the judge acquitted the other co-accused giving them the benefit of doubt.

Man gets life term in murder case

Earlier, Additional District and Sessions Judge Zulfiqar Ali awarded life sentence to a man for killing a person in Sargodha.

The prosecution told the court that convict Zahid shot dead Waqas over a petty issue on August 20, 2011. Later, the police arrested him and submitted a challan in the court. After hearing witnesses, the judge awarded life imprisonment to Zahid.

In addition, the court imposed a fine of Rs100,000 on the convict.
