Man gets life term in murder case

The court imposed a fine of Rs0.4 million on the convict which would be paid to the legal heirs of the deceased

FAISALABAD: Additional District and Sessions Judge Inam Elahi awarded life sentence to a man in a murder case in Faisalabad.

The prosecution told the court that accused Noman, Sidra and Ahmed Ubaid had murdered Sabir Ali in Chak No 214-RB two years ago. However, the police arrested them and submitted a challan in the court.

After hearing witnesses, the judge awarded life imprisonment to Noman. In addition, the court imposed a fine of Rs0.4 million on the convict which would be paid to the legal heirs of the deceased.

However, the judge acquitted the other co-accused giving them the benefit of doubt.

Man gets death penalty for murdering niece

Earlier, Additional District and Sessions Judge Ikramul Haq awarded life sentence to a man for killing a man in Sialkot. The prosecution told the court that convict Jamshed had shot dead a passerby Kamran during a clash with his opponents. However, the police arrested him and submitted a challan in the court.
