MULTAN: A special literary sitting, organised with reference to ‘Art and cultural policy work of Punjab government’ was held at Multan Arts Council with renowned educationist and artist Anwar Jamal in the chair. The sitting called for strengthening cultural institutions aiming to promote tolerance and fraternity in society. Radio Pakistan Programme Manager Multan Khalid Iqbal said the aforesaid policy was architected under observation of overall cultural policy of the province. He hailed the CM Punjab for being the architect of the cultural policy. Renowned musician Sagheer Ahmad said culture promotes tolerance, adding that the policy would create peaceful and healthy environmentin society. Prof Ali Sukhan War, Rana Tasweer Ahmad, Shakir Hussain and others termed the policy a historic success on the part of the government.
