
In absence of any such law, traders having established businesses in rented shops could be evicted unceremoniously without any compensation for losses.
Business ties in line with law, Asif tells IHC
A delegation of traders led by ICCI Traders Welfare Sub-Committee Chairman Khalid Chaudhry called on ICCI Senior Vice President Muhammad Naved and Vice President Nisar Ahmed Mirza to apprise them of the problems being faced by the traders due to absence of a rent control law in Islamabad.
Naveed said MNA Mian Abdul Manan had presented a draft bill on rent laws in the National Assembly long time ago, but it has not been passed as yet. Mirza said traders need to pressurise the government for promulgation of new rent law in Islamabad.
